Sydney Business Travel Primer
The Three-Hour Tour
Begin at the architecturally astounding Opera House, which was just added to UNESCO's World Heritage List. To the east, through the Opera House Gate, lies the lush Royal Botanic Gardens. To the west, across the sparkling water, looms the city's other icon, the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Head south toward Circular Quay, past the Oyster Bar, and then amble along the bustling ferry wharves, where didgeridoo players entertain the crowds. Stop by the Museum of Contemporary Art for a fix of Aboriginal and contemporary culture. From here, it's a short stroll to the cobblestones of The Rocks, Sydney's historic old town quarter. There, colonial architecture houses boutiques, opal outlets, and cozy pubs. Follow George Street to the city's oldest building-Cadman's Cottage (1816). The Sydney Observatory is a short stroll away.
