Q & A: A Hotel for U2

My girlfriend and I managed to clinch tickets to a U2 concert in Dublin, and we'd like to stay at a hotel that we heard is owned by members of the band. Do you know what it's called, and is it centrally located and hip?

It's called The Clarence, and it is as hip as Bono. Located in the heart of Dublin, on the River Liffey in the trendy Temple Bar district, the hotel has Arts and Crafts detailing in white oak, and leather and velvet decor mixed with Shaker furniture. Before the concert, visit the hotel spa for a facial, a massage, or an aromatherapy treatment and you just might find yourself singing, "It's a beautiful day" (353-1-407-0800; www.theclarence.ie; doubles, $465$495).
