Flushed Away in Frisco

* San Francisco may boast two new landmarks soon. This is definite. This depends on voters.
* This week's travel meme: Dubai + Beaches + Nudity
* Pilot sounds off on about in-flight cell phone use.
* I would totally eat here.
* In London, dead men (and women) do indeed tell tales.

No one....NO ONE... in San Francisco refers to the town as "Frisco!" It is one of the most annoying references people make. Stop! It's stupid and lame and shows you know not even the basics about this city!

The Daily Traveler hears your concern, Tahoegrrl. Perhaps we should clarify that the person who wrote the post is in fact a native of the City--the Sunset, in fact--and admits to not finding the term "Frisco" annoying at all. Saying, "SanFran," however, is another story.

Get over it tahoegrrl . . . many of us have a soft spot in our heart for "Frisco", but we have no desire to live there or worry about what offends you . . . tesek
