Italian clothing company Alpinestars--an essential outfitter among motorists and race car enthusiasts for over 45 years--has chosen the Golden State to introduce its new tough-chic line of biker-inspired garments for women. Coming on the heels of the four-year-old men's line (James Dean meets California surfer), the women's collection is the most recent brainchild of owner/design duo Gabriele Mazzarolo and Denise Focil. Due to launch on U.S. soil this fall--and headlining some ride-ready favorites such as leather biker jackets and waxed jeans--Alpinestars boasts a collection that gives comfort a new edge.
