The Cool Theater Quest

by Julia Bainbridge

Well, last week I said I'd come up with a list of "vintage-y, full-service movie theaters" in the country, but it seems nothing is quite as cool as the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin--according to my research, at least. I'm looking for enlightenment, though, so please give me your suggestions: What are your favorite old-school and/or full-service (and/or just plain cool) movie theaters in the States and--oh, what the hay--beyond?

Comments

This is a great little movie theater in Rhinebeck, NY. It shows the best indie films and you can still get popcorn for a dollar.
