Where's Wendy? Day 9

My location the day before yesterday? The Mediterranean island of Malta.
by Wendy Perrin
Welcome to the final round of the Where's Wendy? contest. And congrats to those of you who deduced, based on yesterday's set of clues, that my last stop was Malta.

Grand Harbour, the island's natural, fortified harbor that has been in use since at least Phoenician times, was the base for the Knights of Malta during the Middle Ages.
The island's skyline is dominated by churches, the most magnificent of which is St. John's Co-Cathedral, built by the Knights in 1577.

Here's the Co-Cathedral's facade. On the outside the church has the severe character of a fortress. On the inside (below) it's a stunning artistic expression of the High Baroque era, thanks to the Knights and Grand Masters, who enriched the cathedral with only the best works of art by leading artists of the time.
Ah, but there's no rest for the weary: I've now moved on from Malta to the final country of my itinerary, where I'm spending the night before flying home tomorrow. Can anyone guess where in the world I am now? Click to the next page for clues.
Below are the final two questions of this "Where's Wendy?" contest. The first person to answer them both correctly will definitely be crowned one of the winners. And you've got till Monday.
(1) My hotel is about a 5-minute walk from this street in this city's Gothic Quarter. What city am I in?
(2) I was in Italy on December 2, in Turkey on December 5, in Egypt on December 7 and 8, and in Malta on December 10. Where have I been sleeping for the past 12 nights?
Good luck to all!

1) Barcelona
2) NCL's Jade?

A late post - was trundling over the Atlantic yesterday and a late night arrival - I would absolutely agree Barcelona and the Brilliance of the Seas

Barcelona is right but I changed my mind and agree with travellove - Norwegian Jade.

The city is definitely Barcelona, the place where you orginally arrived in Europe. You and the kids boarded the Norwegian Jade on Nov 30th and sailed the following cruise itinerary [Barcelona (Spain) ~ Civitavecchia (Rome- Italy) ~ Athens (Piraeus-Greece) Ephesus (Izmir-Turkey) ~ Alexandria (Egypt-two days) ~ Valletta (Malta) - Barcelona (Spain)]
