Having trouble using your miles to fly when and where you want to? For years now, Condé Nast Traveler readers have emailed me asking me to point them to a human being who can help them redeem their considerable airline mileage for the international flights they need. The latest plea for help is from reader Cynthia Spry:
"I am trying to get to Bali from Newark, New Jersey, in late January, and cannot find a flight under $4,000. I would like to use frequent-flier miles. Can you help?"I can't--at least not without knowing which airlines you have miles with, how many miles, your travel dates, the number of people flying, and the class of service you want--but I know who can: Miles-and-points whiz Gary Leff of View From The Wing.
Gary just launched a new site, Book Your Award, that is the answer to many a Condé Nast Traveler reader's prayers. For a fee, he will use strategies that you might not have thought of--such as flying on alternate routes or on partner airlines--to get you where you're going for as few miles as possible. Tell him I sent you!
