Although this is a common tourist attraction for those visiting Acapulco, the visual image of each dive is so spectacular that we purposely missed our tour bus so that we could see the dives for the second time. The picture perfect scenery - blue skies, jagged rocks, and white crashing waves - stands in stark contrast with the athleticism and dangerousness of the stunt. It is equally poignant so see the divers prayed at a small alter set up on the rocks before each dive, asking for blessing and courage to do something that they have performed countless time before.
