Great Travel Moment

The Acropolis is something you have to walk through to appreciate the magnitude of the workmanship. We stayed at the Hotel Grande Bretagne on Constitution Square in Athens. We hired a driver who picked us up at the airport, delivered us to the hotel, returned the next day to give us a 5 hour tour of Athens, waited at a wonderful seaside restaurant for us to have lunch and then deposited us at the port of Pyreaus for our cruise - all for $250. Our room faced Constituion Square and at night from the balcony you can see the Acropolis which is lit at night. The room had 30 foot ceilings, marble floors, huge french doors and everything romantic you could think of.
