20th Anniversary Dream Trip ContestChicago Millenium Park Water Wall

Great Travel Moment Its rare that cities, even the great ones, take on municipal projects that try to improve the quality of life of the city. Millenium Park in Chicago is one of the rare recent gems created by the city that includes some interesting, monumental public art. The glass water walls look pretty pedestrian by day but at night are back lit with video imagery that leads to spouting jets of water coming out of the wall onto the plaza. A great treat, particularly for the kids. |
