Great Travel Moment When I was 12 years old, my father led us on a hike. We traveled a skinny"trail" and waded across the Cispus River four times to arrive here. Unreachable by car, the mossy giant is unimproved by people. Recently, my brother led us on a hike during a camping trip. My children enjoyed the same waterfall (in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest) that I enjoyed as a child. Pictured in this photo are my daughter and my niece. They are sweaty from the hike and satisfied with their findings. This slope is gradual enough that you can walk halfway to the top. |
