Great Travel Moment

This tour to a small village in the Amazon was a delight! We learned how the locals survive on manioc flour and how difficult their daily lives are in such a remote location. We visited their church which has been built from donations given by the ship visitors each season, and we added to the collection. Then the children thanked us with a lively and colorful dance performance. After they finished, they drew us onto the floor and we danced to their music (it had a great beat!), though they spoke no English and we spoke no Portuguese nor their local language.
