Great Travel Moment We had arrived back to Moscow 5am on a Sunday. Instead of returning back to my host family like the other students, I walked around Moscow. I walked down the main street, Tverskaya, which at any other hour of the day it be crowded with cars, people, and vendors. It was completely desereted; I felt like I was only person in a city of 12 million. As I walked down the street, I came upon the Red Square with all the main sites (St. Basils, Kremlin , and Lenin's tomb). I continued to walk around as the city woke up. First came the bells of the churchs and then little old ladies filtering into the streets to church. The rest of the city followed shortly. |
