Great Travel Moment Living in NYC makes me forget how to breathe in life. Going to South America was my escape from my incessant pace. I found peace in Punta del Este, the bohemian beach town in Uruguay. The end of the summer brings tranquility there. Restaurants and galleries are closing, and families are enjoying last week of summer vacation. I stand on the roof to capture dusk. Dusk is the most beautiful moment of the day, even in cities. Dusk brings a half hour of silence in-between commute traffic and evening hedonism. Dusk in Punta del Este, on the other hand, relishes the day, enjoying the sun, beach and water's nourishment. We rinse sand out of crevices, feeling our renewal from the sun. At dusk, we feel the ocean's breezes and enjoy food, wine, jazz and friends. That's the peace and freedom I feel when I see this picture. |
