Great Travel Moment

I am a rancher and so anything having to do with livestock or agriculture always captures my attention when I travel. When my friends suggested that we travel to Egypt I was excited about seeing all the pyramids, the temples and just experiencing the vast history that the country has to offer. I never really thought about seeing livestock or learning anything about agriculture on this trip. Boy, was I surprised at what I learned.Part of our trip was to cruise down the Nile River. I was so excited to see all the agricultural enterprises along the river and especially intrigued by the gentleman in this photo who was herding his water buffalo cows across the river with his boat. I have herded cattle using a varitey of methods but this was the first time I had seen it done with a boat.
