Great Travel Moment

When I was a girl growing up in Oregon's Willamette Valley, my family spent summer weekends at the coast, often with friends. This picture, which I took on Labor Day 1985 with a Pentax 110, captures the glee and freedom we kids felt skipping and running on the sand. The children -- who now, like me, are middle-aged -- are still dear friends today.
