The main square in Siena has numerous vendors selling all types of trinkets. These flags caught my eye because the colors were bright, the shadows provided contrast, and Jim Morison was visible in one of the flapping flags. I found it ironic that the image of an American pop culture icon was for sale in the square of a city that has been around for centuries.John Nixon
