Great Travel Moment In the Chobe National Park at Savute the Elephant population is large - we were lucky enough to see breeding herds with babies, Bachelor Herds and many lone male Elephant. This boy was on his lonesome - making his way in the world. It reminds me of a sad news story I read today of another male elephant who died has he tried to cross the Zambezi at Vic Falls and who lost his life because the electric fence at the hotel would not allow him to reach safety on shore - he was swept to his death over the Falls. He was a Hero who died because our hotels and our visiting created the environment from which he could not land in safety. Vale Elephant."Hero Reflected" is my memorial to him. |

Simply beautiful! A very sad story, however. Thanks for sharing.

This is very cool. I think it might be even better if you crop the top (sky) out.
