Great Travel Moment

On the occasion that you have some time to kill, Haleakala has many beautiful forests and trails to enjoy. All you need to do is find out where you can park your car for the day, and take off with plenty of water, some food, and some extra clothes, as it can suddenly get chilly, and then warm up soon after. On this day, we were going for a picnic in Olinda, just up a ways above Makawao. The hike starts fairly level, and then takes you down about a thousand feet. And then up, and then down, and don't forget, you still have to go back the way you came. Pretty fun, and some great scenery along the way. I like to lag behind everybody, so I can take pictures and not feel rushed, so this is usually my view.
