Great Travel Moment

While in Ireland in 2005 I stopped at Kenny's Well in Kilkenny City. Its a local holy well with reputed healing powers.I was collecting Holy Water for my Uncle Gary who had been diagnosed with late stage throat cancer in July of 2005. County Kilkenny is where our ancestors are from. I was hoping holy water from our"motherland" might help him. I researched the Irish custom of collecting holy water and leaving a clootie, a piece of the sick persons clothes, behind as an petition of healing.I did as custom dictates and my friends took pictures for me. This picture is me inside the well collecting water. Its special to me, my uncle's cancer isn't gone yet but he's still with us over a year later!
