Great Travel Moment I knew if I didn't volunteer to go first, I would lose my nerve (and possibly my breakfast). We were on top of a large hill (some might call it a mountain) and I had just strapped myself in, preparing to hang glide for the first time ever. I remember the instructor telling me that on the count of three we would run to the edge of the ramp and jump, I'd never been so scared in my life (notice me clutching on to him with white knuckles). Once we were in the air, I never wanted to land, I suddenly understood what it must feel like to be a bird. Pure bliss. |
