Great Travel Moment Ayutthaya, Thailand was the capital during the first Thai Royal Family of the peninsula after a victory against the Khmers troupes. Today the area is mostly ruins with a few remaining intact structures. On the grounds are countless, probably hundreds, statues all with their heads missing. It is believed the heads were cut off by the invading Burmese, or some believe the heads were cut off by souvenir hunters a hundred years or more. This Photo is a classic picture of my Husband, always walking a head of me jumping in a crowd, or behind a statue to see if I will walk by and notice. This was a moment I strolled by, and then did a double take. We all have our idols in our life and this is mine! |
