My husband took this photo of myself and our daughter Katie Sue on the cliffs overlooking the surfbreak at Hookipa beach, Maui, Hawaii. We live in landlocked Alberta, but dream and plan of surf holidays whenever we can. Hookipa is one of those magical names for surfers and we were thrilled to watch the world class surfers that day. The waves were too big for a novice like myself, but it was a thrill to be there chatting to the locals and dreaming of the surf holidays we would take together with Katie Sue, our little"grommet".
