Great Travel Moment

This is my favorite India photograph. Although I was mesmerized by the beauty, culture and sights of places like the Ghats of Varanasi, the Taj Mahal, or the view of the City Palace from lake Pichola in Udaipur, it's this picture that sums up my best memories of India. A land where the real attractions are its people. People, people everywhere who reflect the spirit of their country. In this case, an old man just watching time go by in the late afternoon sun. Traditional, idle, somewhat pensive and projecting a curious sense of wisdom, I feel I already know him a little bit.
