Great Travel Moment

Having traveled much of South America, I had heard little about Bolivia as a desirable or interesting place to explore. However, after visiting, I believe Bolivia is the hidden gem of South America, representing to me both the magnificent ancient culture of the Inca and the traditional heritage of the Spanish. By combining these heritages, Bolivia effectively encapsulates the history of South America itself and the juxtaposition of indigenous culture with that of the colonialists. Here, clouds rise from the volcanic crater that is home to La Paz, symbolically revealing the gem itself much as my visit revealed it to me.
