Great Travel Moment These snowbound duck boats, docked on the shore of Lake Shikotsu on Hokkaido struck such a whimsical note in me. The scenes at the lake were breathtaking, and travelers, me among them, were taking shots of the glorious landscape. I just couldn't resist photographing these ducks, who seemed to be wondering why the bleep they hadn't flown south for the winter. Hopefully someday I'll get back for a springtime boatride on one of these fun vessels. |
