Great Travel Moment When I made a dinner reservation at the Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino, British Columbia for evening the summer solstice, I was told that 8:30 was the perfect time, because we would get an excellent view when the sun set around 9. Well, I should have gotten a clue because the website listsStorm watching as one of the main activities. Despite the uncooperative weather, we had a wonderful trip, hiking among the ancient trees, boating to see bears, and encountering so many bald eagles we stopped taking photos of them. And great dinner featuring local fish and vegetables that did not have to travel for hours to reach the inn! Our only regret was having such a short trip. |
