Great Travel Moment As we were wrapping up our dinner on the boardwalk of the beach house on Holden Beach island in North Carolina, a storm moved in with tremendous speed. Within minutes, day turned to dark, but in the moments before the darkness, we were given a splendid light show by the sun and the billowing storm clouds. It was the first time I could recall seeing dark sunbeams, and it was all the more breathtaking for its rarity. |
