This picture depicts a miracle in progress. (No, the miracle is not that Brad jumped higher than all of us with one leg, ;) The miracle is the tie that binds the five of us; a deep, dark and troubled past. Thankfully, we all found each other and formed a bond in recovery, having turned away from a life of drugs and dereliction. This trip to the Dominican Republic was the first trip I've ever taken. The majority of my young life was spent using drugs and being captive within a four or five block radius of my house. However a new life awakened in me when I got clean, and I began to dream. My dream is to travel, to learn as many languages, and participate in as many cultures as possible. The DR just whet my appetite. Languages CD's, library travel books, I'm ready….and dreaming.
