Great Travel Moment Summer in Victoria, British Columbia. The marina in James Bay isn't nearly as well-known as the quay at the main causeway in front of the Empress Hotel. But Victorians (rather than tourists) prefer to tie up at the marina just off Kingston Street, in the James Bay neighborhood. Incredibly colorful, with an assortment of sailing and motor vessels, some of which are live-aboards. Kingfishers dart in the water, herons fly by, and it's a very lovely place to walk to on a summer afternoon. |
