Great Travel Moment A local friend knew of my love of Nature photography, and suggested we spend our one day together during my visit to the area checking out Antelope Island, the largest of the land masses scattered across Utahs Great Salt Lake. I did a little background reading, but didnt really know what to expect. At one of our last stops at a small ranch on the far end of the protected island, we came upon this long wooden plank that at first seemed a curiosity, out of place. But as our feet kept sinking into the spongy marsh-like ground, I realized we were the ones out of place. The more I studied the plank the plankto nowhere, and everywhere, I dubbed it the more compelling, and symbolic of lifes hope and futility, I perceived it to be. |
