Great Travel Moment

The stillness of this ascetic, old Buddhist monk in Shanghai impressed me. He must have lived through the end of the Chinese imperial state, the invasion of the Japanese, the civil war between the communists and nationalists, the Cultural Revolution and now the mixture of socialism and capitalism. Yet his spirit seems profoundly calm. He inspires me to be less driven and more thoughtful.
