Great Travel Moment While trying to find a French restaurant off a side street in Luang Prabang, Laos, my wife and I came upon 4 Buddhist monks who were re-roofing part of their monastery. Even at that severe angle and dangerous work conditions, they wore their rubber flip-flops and saffron robes. The crossed wood slats that they were working on were bowing to the extent that I wondered how it held their combined weight. |
