Great Travel Moment

Puerto Escondido, Mexico. This was a special moment for me because it was the first time I had traveled on my own... I met the most amazing people while I was there, and it fueled my desire to travel on my own more often. It made me push my boundaries to truly dive into the local culture. I still fondly experience every sense of that photo... the large pebble-like sand between my toes, the taste of the sweet coconut milk through the straw and the reward of the meat inside its shell... the smell of the sea and the tightness of the drying salt on my skin from the ocean, the sun's penetrating warmth, the beautiful shoreline and the lobster vendor along the tree-line, the sound of the waves hissing as the tide drops and the language of the local people- full of laughter and joy. I will return.
