Great Travel Moment So long, farewell, aufwiedersehen, g'day. After ten wonderful, glorious, peaceful, adventurous, amazing, fun, and relaxing days in Australia, from Sydney to Cairns to Tangalooma to Brisbane and back to Sydney, we reluctantly had to say goodbye to hugging cute koala bears, lounging with kangaroos, feeding and swimming with wild dolphins, and snorkeling over the clearest most colorful foreign world I'd ever seen in the Great Barrier Reef. By the way, I'm petrified of large bodies of water, but I convinced myself that if I came all this way to visit Australia how could I not snorkel the Barrier. I was scared, but I did it, and I'll never forget it! Of course the person (me) who is terrified of the ocean is the only one to see an eight foot reef shark! This photo was taken from the plane as we were leaving Sydney. |
