Great Travel Moment I had gone on an adventure to Mexico, alone, to a town I'd never been before, in order to fill the gaps in my Spanish and become more fluent. I'd heard of a place called "El Mirador" (The Lookout), high on a hill above the city, which provided a panoramic view. One hot day, armed with a water bottle, I walked all the way up the hill and was rewarded with this beautiful scene of that Spanish Colonial town in the distance, framed by purple jacaranda trees. That moment took my breath away and stamped this place permanently on my heart. I fell in love with San Miguel and its beauty, culture, people, and art so completely that I am moving there this summer to make it my permanent home. This photo captured a memorable travel moment that literally changed the direction of my life. |
