Great Travel Moment This is just one of the adorable and curious house geckos that lived in and about our rental home on the Kona Coast last summer. Every evening we would turn on porch lights to attract the moths, and the geckos would have a fine buffet! By the end of our stay, nearly every one of them had been named. This little guy didn't have a name, but was a wonderful subject for his portrait. Living in the bird-of-paradise bush in our rental's yard, he was shy, but not quite afraid. An enduring symbol of our amazing stay, and the enjoyment we derived from our own microcosm of flora and fauna on Hawaii's Big Island. |
