Great Travel Moment My dad and I were diving in Maui, Hawaii off of Big Beach in Makena. The dive was really hard. The surf was THROWING us in every direction and kicking up sand. It took awhile to get out to where we could see. Once we got out the only life was this short weed that we hoped to find seahorses in. We searched for quite some time but found nothing. My dad started waving me over to what I thought was a rock. I looked a little harder and noticed the rock had eyes and a mouth. It was a frog fish about 6 in. across and 10 in. long. We waved our hands by it and it moved just enough to brush the sand off of itself. When the sand settled the beautiful red color was revealed. The dive was difficult and exausting but out of the 10 or so dives we did in Hawaii it was the my favorite. |
