Great Travel Moment

The morning of our big trek to Machu Picchu, it rained the whole bus ride up and as my best friend and I entered the park we saw that the entire picture before us was shrouded in a cloak of mist. The mountains, rainforest, and ruins began to reveal themselves in little bits and pieces, teasing us at first but eventually unveiling all of their beauty. The atmosphere was spellbinding and mysterious, forcing onlookers to stop and simply take it all in. Many alpacas roamed freely about the ruins, but one baby in particular was a wonderful little model! He bravely ventured close enough for on looking tourists to get some great pictures and just kept hamming it up! Then all of a sudden he scampered away, as if he had given away too much of the mystery, and left us to ponder the awe-inspiring beauty by ourselves.
