Great Travel Moment Visiting a nomad family in the Gobi Desert in Mongolia was a unique experience in itself and was augmented by their unbelievable skill with horses. We watched spellbound as the men, ranging from 4 to 40 years old herded the wild beasts, lassoed them and broke them to the bridle and saddle within 15 minutes. It was extremely impressive and after witnessing their prowess with horses, we understood the reason why they were such an awesome presence during the reign of the Khans. |
