Great Travel Moment This photo was taken at the foot of the mountain where the Leshan Giant Buddha sits in Leshan, China. My brother, parents and I spent a long hazy day hiking to the top of the mountain where the Buddha is carved and managed to get lost on the way back down, ending up on the opposite side of the mountain from where we started. Slightly frustrated, and feeling a few rain drops start to spill from the sky, we walked around a bend and came to this amazing burst of yellow around a beautiful Chinese bridge. The view left us with our jaws to the ground. And, apparently many people hike down the wrong side, as a little further there were a plethora of pedi-cabs waiting to take us back to the bus. |
