Great Travel Moment "You could put a forest fire out with those big feet," I whispered to my wife, teasing. But, God I love those feet. They were, after all, the same feet that brought her to me so long ago, and it was her beautiful, slender feet that now dangled lazily from the lounge chair. That afternoon, our skins must have soaked up the entire Mediterranean from atop that sun deck at the Hotel Le Sirenuse in Positano. When I travel, I rarely find the ability to unwind. Instead I find myself watching, listening, smelling, feeling, tasting, trying frantically to freeze something with my senses for future reference. By contrast my wife had found all that she needed on that sun deck: a catnap on a comfy piece of furniture, an attentive staff at the ready, and the Amalfi Sun scorching her an August lullaby. When her snoring started, I slinked off my lounger chuckling and snapped this shot. |
