Great Travel Moment

My husband and I have enjoyed going on several cruises, and during one of those the ship stopped in Cozumel, Mexico. Instead of signing up for one of the organized tours offered on the ship, we decided to rent a car and tour the island on our own. The car, described by the man at the rental agency as a convertible turned out to be an old VW Beatle that had the roof sawed off, but since it was a beautiful sunny day this didn't bother us at all. We drove along the gorgeous shoreline, stopping along the way to wade through the clear blue water, and have a cool Mexican beer to quench our thirst. We also toured some old Mayan ruins, where we saw many large lizards like this one. What a great way to end a great day!
