Great Travel Moment

This was taken at the end of a cruise to Alaska, which happened to end on July 4. I'd just come out of the late movie, and decided to go back to my room via the outside deck... only to discover we'd already hit our last port, Whittier... and that it was still light out - at 2am! I decided to grab my camera for a few last shots, and saw that a bunch of people camping across the bay were still celebrating with fireworks. This was my first taste of the midnight sun, and as a Canadian, my first Independence Day celebrated among Americans, which turned out to be quite the fantastic day on board. This evening was a great capper to the event.
