Great Travel Moment After a delicious traditional feast (Lovo), the Fijians of the Yasawa Islands performed a cultural dance (Meke), accompanied by joyful and robust song. Although they perform about once a week, they still posses a sense of humility and shyness in their craft. Their voices, and their movements, were a memorable moment in time while I sat in the sand on this tiny island . . . an honored guest in the South Pacific. |
