Great Travel Moment

This was where we left the paved road to begin of our trek into the Thar desert near Jodphur, India. We were greeted on our way by some locals with a traditional welcome of sweets and outstretched hands filled with water laced with opium. We visited their primitive houses. Then we transfered to camels to ride further and see the sunset and then spent the night in a tented camp where locals danced their traditional dances for us. To complete the unexpected was a large herd of wild camels who seemed almost oblivious to our presence.
