Great Travel Moment KATHMANDU MEANS WOODEN STAGE: My wife and I were shopping near the pagoda (temple) when I caught this aspect of it, the lighting made it memorable , I am so intruiged by the Newari hand carvings on teak wood, as depicted in the PHOTO, the wooden windows are said to be over 400 years old! One can see the intricate carvings of hindu gods they are very meticulate . My wife is Nepali and we are proud to show these images that say alot about the history and Culture of Nepal. |
