Great Travel Moment It was my wife's and my first trip to Maui, Hawaii. For eight blissful, wonderful, peaceful, glorious, worry free days we relaxed in paradise. Our biggest decision on this greatly anticipated vacation was what beach to lounge at. On Halloween day we visited the town of Lahaina. From grandparents to new born babies we saw the whole town dressed up in costumes parading up and down the streets. It looked like Mardi Gras. As I was shooting the local "wild life" I noticed, across the waters, the sun was setting over to the island of Lana'i, which at the time was covered in thick storm clouds. "A photograph is usually looked at, seldom looked into." Ansel Adams once said. Looking into the photo a little deeper you will see, in the foreground, an abandoned capsized boat that some drunk anchored to close to the shore breaks. |
