Great Travel Moment Although tourists frequent the city of Lhasa, Tibet throughout the year, these children were very curious about my appearance as well as my camera. They confronted me the second they saw me and to this day, I have yet to be impressed by such independent and headstrong children. They lived and worked on their own, selling umbrellas and other artifacts as their mother worked raising the newborn baby. Both kids spoke fine-tuned English and although neither of them spent time in the classroom, they could list almost all 50 of the United States. I couldn't believe the attitude and brilliance of these kids; and it was a serious moment of realization for me on how we develop and who we are based on our younger years. |
