Great Travel Moment The sun was rising in the southern hemisphere and we were sailing into the Sydney Harbor after a wonderful cruise from Singapore. We got up early to be on deck to see Sydney come into view on the last day of our cruise and also the last day of the year 2000. We were not disappointed at the range of beautiful colors Mother Nature was painting across the water all the way to the cloudy purple and blue sky. This was not our first visit to Australia so when we disembarked our ship we flew home on a noon flight. This meant we celebrated New Years Eve twice, first flying over the Pacific Ocean and again after we arrived home. What I like about this photograph is it reminds me of our cruise, the Sydney Harbor at dawn and how we had two New Years celebration on December 31, 2000. |
